Be cautious while buying drugs online

As we know buying anything on internet has become really easier and quicker but the question is that is it ok to buy even very popular drugs without prescription?

Just take an example of a popular drug, Lipitor. Buy Lipitor online is easy. Lipitor (Atorvastatin) is a popular medicine that is widely prescribed to patients in order to prevent strokes and heart attacks by lowering the body’s production of LDL. This is given to lower the patient’s blood cholesterol levels. However, this medicine can also be used for some other purposes that may cause harm. You can order Lipitor online or can buy generic Lipitor online but you should be aware of its side effects too. Besides buy meridia online from an online pharmacy (nexium online pharmacy) site, you can also avail special online consultancy services to clear any doubts about your medication.

The main benefit that an Internet pharmacy offers over nearby community drugstores is the amount of convenience, safety and security involved in the entire transaction process. You may find that it is easier for a sick person to send somebody to the nearby drugstore for buying generic cialis or to buy discount cialis, buy canada cialis or to get the prescription filled. Apart from that, many patients are not comfortable disclosing their identities or the medicines taken by them to the community pharmacies. An Internet pharmacy (nexium online pharmacy) eliminates all these negative points by selling prescription medicines in a vey simpler form and with an order process backed by a delivery system that is safe, secure, and quick. The ordered medicines and drugs (lipitor pravachol, lipitor cost, lipitor zetia, pravachol Lipitor, lipitor pravachol ) are delivered within a short period of time to the patients. The patients are able to maintain full privacy of their identity in this case.

Another important point is that you are not able to get proper and enough satisfying information regarding a specific medicine like lipitor pravachol, lipitor cost, lipitor zetia, pravachol Lipitor, lipitor pravachol etc. from your nearby community drug store which sell medicines over the counter. Online drug stores or internet pharmacies (nexium online pharmacy) offer detailed and correct information on various drugs they are dealing with. Not only that, this information is presented in a very simple language so that a common person can understand the effects and side effects of a particular drug and can use it properly.

Internet pharmacies maintain a proper and complete record of all the details of a client in a confidential way. This record history can not be found with your nearby community medicine store as they can not maintain it. Online pharmacies, nexium online pharmacy, have been proved very useful. Whether you have to buy plavix or buying a generic lipitor or other drugs like lipitor pravachol, lipitor cost, lipitor zetia, pravachol Lipitor, lipitor pravachol, all you can get just by sitting at your computer in a convenient way.

Digital camera prints 24

Digital Camera Prints

Though digital cameras have made photography fun and easy for those who normally may not have taken a lot of pictures, there is still something to be said for the look of film prints. Digital camera prints have not been up to snuff with film, though they are getting better and better every day. When you take digital pictures, you have a few options for getting your prints. Perhaps one of the best things about this is that you can choose which prints you want and which ones you think are sub par and unprintable.

When I first got digital camera prints, I got them from my home printer. The quality of these prints was pretty good, but I had bought expensive paper. The next time I bought photo paper, I bought something that was not as nice, and it showed when I printed out my photos. My camera takes great shots that look amazing on my camera, but they didn’t look so good when I did digital camera prints on my home computer printer using cheap paper. Always make sure you buy the best.

You can also go out and get your digital camera prints done in a photo store. If you go into a store that develops film, you may find that they have a machine there that you can use for you prints. Some of these will give you your digital camera prints right away, and some will make you wait an hour or even over night. What you choose will depend on what you want to pay. The ones that come out of the machine immediately will cost you more than the ones you get if you wait over night.

Another benefit of digital camera prints is the ability to work on them before you print them. You can do things like remove red eye and even get rid of elements you don’t want in the photo. I know there have been many times that I have had the prefect photo, or would have, had it not been for one thing in the background. You can use photo editing software to get rid of or even add things to your digital camera prints before you even print them out. This saves you a lot of time and money. If you can delete the photos that don’t look just right and only print out what you love, you are going to save money all the way around. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

Prescriptions can reverse the debilitating effects of depression

If you or a loved one has ever suffered from depression, you understand the debilitating effects it can have on the person who suffers from it, as well as on family members and friends. According to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), over 20 million Americans are depressed, and most of those who suffer from depression are not treated for it. This is especially tragic because depression is easily treated with prescriptions and other therapies.

Symptoms of Depression

While most of us associate depression with sadness, the symptoms can take on a variety of characteristics. Chronic anxiety or periodic panic attacks can be symptoms of depression, as can overwhelming feelings of guilt or pessimism. According to the NIMH, people who are depressed can have a hard time making decisions or concentrating, and they can suffer from memory problems.

Although we may think of a depressed person as lethargic, he or she can actual experience restlessness that may be accompanied by insomnia or other sleep problems. Similarly, other physical symptoms can manifest, such as chronic pain, headaches, and stomach problems.

Causes of Depression

Perhaps because so many Americans suffer from depression, there is less stigma about the disease now than in previous decades. Unfortunately, misinformation still abounds. Although depression can be characterized as a mood disorder, it's very often a genetic illness caused by brain chemicals gone awry. Other people, such as those who have a poor self-image or who are easily stressed out, seem to be more susceptible to depression. Sometimes, a physical illness can trigger depression, while other times tragic life circumstances can send someone into a downward spiral. It seems that, for women, hormones can play a significant role in depression. The bottom line is that people who experience depression can't simply "snap out of it."

Treatment of Depression

Depression can be treated with psychotherapy, particularly cognitive-behavioral therapy and interpersonal therapy. For most people, however, the costs and time commitment associated with such therapies make them out of reach.

Thankfully, there are a number of legal prescriptions used to treat depression that are available from a licensed pharmacy. The two primary types of antidepressants used today are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (also known as SSRIs) and monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). Brand names of anti-depressants include Celexa, Effexor, Elavil, Fluoxetine, Lexapro, Paxil, Prozac, Remeron, Wellbutrin, and Zoloft.

When an Online Pharmacy Can Help

The online pharmacy is a relatively new way to deliver health care and mental health care to Americans. Although an online pharmacy (sometimes known as a FedEx pharmacy because they use overnight delivery) isn't a substitute for diagnoses or prescriptions from a mental health professional, it can be a way to have a prescription filled discretely. This can be especially helpful to men, who seek treatment for depression much more infrequently than women. An online pharmacy can also be helpful for those who have a difficult time getting out of the house, or for those who are running out of their current prescriptions and need a next day refill.

Depression is an illness that takes a toll on everyone the patient comes in contact with. Fortunately, it is highly treatable with prescriptions, and can help people get back on the path to leading fulfilling and happy lives.

Hdtv projector

HDTV Projector

HDTV Projector

You must have probably heard this line from your sales man: “ That projector you are buying does not have a real HDTV.”

For an average buyer, with limited knowledge about the advent and sophisticated emerging technology that is HDTV, you must have probably fretted upon hearing that, thinking by yourself what is it that would set HDTV projector from the rest of the other projector products in the market today.

For sure, if you are buying a projector, you would want o buy the best and most up to date projector technology around in the market today. What could be with the HDTV projector and what exactly is it?

Confusion

For an average shopper with average knowledge and know hows to the complicated world of new and emerging TV and projector technology, there is a reason that would justify such confusions.

To date there are a handful of TV sets and models, flagging technologies that are new and unheard of’ today. What is worse is hat the emergence or number of projectors with the same confusing names and terminologies are equally up there.

Understanding HDTV projectors

The world and jargons surrounding and involved in HDTV projectors is very complicated, confusing and headache infusing nowadays.

To cut the long story short or to simplify the real definition of HDTV projector, they are TV screen projectors that practically and effectively integrate the superior screen and imaging technology of the HDTV screen.

To understand it even more, HDTV projectors project images that are at par and almost the same with the superior quality of the HDTV. HDTV is basically involved in image projection and transmission.

The sound quality is not covered by it, although there are a number or HDTV projector products claiming to have or a come along with superior sound quality accorded and prerogative only to HDTVs.

Now, some products, to be able to lure and convince customers and consumers into buying them indicates and emphasizes that they are ‘real HDTV projectors.’

To set the confusing record straight, HDTV projectors do not come with ‘real’ or ‘unreal’ qualities. They are all of the same. The resolution problem or discrepancies only come from the difference in resolution in HDTV projectors.

That is similar to the case of the digital cameras in the market today. Resolutions and clarity of pictures differ because of the magnification or resolution capacity of the cameras’ lenses.

Thus, in the case of HDTV projectors, those with higher indicative resolutions will far project clearer images than those HDTV projectors with lower resolutions.

Nothing can be clearer than that explanation, no doubt about it.

HDTVs in general

High definition television or HDTV is the fast rising and more popular TV technology that is making the market anticipating, excited and longing all at the same time.

On the average, marketers and sales men estimate that the price of an HDTV is about 15 to 25 times more o above the price tag for the regular and conventional TV sets currently out and released in the market.

The most breath-taking feature of the HDTV is its superior screen quality. The screen of HDTV is far more better than the screen quality of the conventional analog TV.

Thus, HDTV projectors also adapt and project the clear resolution and image quality input by the awesome HDTV.

What more, with the excellent sound quality that comes along in the package with HDTV, it is totally awesome! Nothing can compare to it.

If you are in dire need and itch to purchase a TV projector, buying and preferring HDTV projectors over the traditional and conventional TV projectors would not hurt even a bit.

The purchase of an HDTV projector would be an interesting and reasonable bargain and investment for you, the quality TV addict, who can not wait until you get hold of this fantastic product offering called HDTV projector.

No doubt about it.

How to settle your debts for less than you owe

When your finances seem to have overtaken your life and you find yourself unable to make your payments each month, before you decide to declare bankruptcy you should attempt to obtain debt settlements with each of your creditors. A debt settlement is when a creditor agrees to accept less than the total balance owed in a lump sum payment, in order to close out the account and have it reported to the credit bureaus as paid.

Many people don’t even consider debt settlement an option, but you would be surprised how easy it actually is to get a creditor to settle with you if you have a history of making your payments late, or if you consistently miss your payments all together. Creditors would prefer to receive part of the money owed to them than none at all, which is what they receive if you were to file bankruptcy!

There are debt settlement companies that can help you, but in many cases, you can get your creditors to settle with you on your own. Try the following steps for obtaining a debt settlement and paying off your debt with the least amount of money and in the least amount of time.

First, determine how much you can pay to settle your total debt. Figure out what your absolutely essential monthly expenses are, including rent or mortgage payments, food, medical expenses, etc. Subtract your total expenses from the amount of your net pay and whatever you have let over is the amount you have available to pay towards a debt settlement plan.

Next, make a list of all of the creditors you owe and are late paying, and how much you owe to each creditor. Determine and write down how much of your debt settlement budget you can pay towards the account.

Write to each of your creditors or the collection agencies handling the account if it has already been moved to collections and explain your situation to them. Explain that your financial situation has changed, and you are very close to declaring bankruptcy and are unable to make payments as originally agreed.

Tell each of your creditors the total amount of debt you owe, and how much you have available to pay off that debt. Explain how much you can pay on your account with the creditor and let them know you are sending the offer to each of your creditors - and that the ones who agree to your offer are the accounts you will focus on paying off first! This might encourage them to agree!

You will hopefully receive a few acceptance letters. You are also likely to receive a few rejections from creditors who are unwilling at this time to accept a debt settlement. Keep a copy of all letters in your records, and for any creditors that agreed with the debt settlement offer, send them a payment immediately as long as you have in writing their agreement.

Each month, you can repeat the process and send out new letters to the creditors who have not yet agreed to your debt settlement offers. You’ll have higher percentages available to pay towards the debt now, as you have begun to pay off some of your debts and you will increase the number of creditors who agree to settle.

Just be sure that you insist on getting agreements in writing - because there have been some creditors that agree to the debt settlement offers on the phone and then once they receive your payment, they deny ever agreeing to the debt settlement offer in the first place!

Avoid legal battles over broker commissions

Commissione agreements that spell out how brokers are paid typically use form documents. The commission formula sometimes changes, but the terms and conditions usually stay the same. Consequently standard terms and conditions of commission agreements are often ignored by brokers and owners once the agreement is signed. Since the broker’s income is tied to the terms of those agreements, close attention to details are vital to all parties involved.

Recent lawsuits stemming from disputes over broker commissions reveal tough lessons about the importance of paying close attention to commission agreements.

A building owner in Detroit was forced to pay a commission because the original agreement did not contain an expiration or termination date. The building owner argued that there are a number of key terms understood and agreed to prior to signing the agreement that were not contained in the final written agreement. The judge overruled this argument stating that the contract was clear as written.

Judges and juries are not real estate professionals. The term “procuring cause” may have a standard definition in the real estate business, but mean nothing to a juror. All parties involved must make sure the language is clear. A judge or jury will not rewrite a contract to save either party from a bad business decision.

Even after a favorable commission contract is successfully negotiated and written, it’s not OK to simply file it away. Either party cannot claim they forgot about the agreement.

The lesson here is to carefully note important terms and conditions, especially those that relate to performance, compensation, and termination.

Legal disputes are not unique to any location. Judges and juries nationwide are showing resistance to insert terms into commission contracts or allow parties to ignore the terms of a contract. Recently there’s been an increase in the number of disputes. Some have settled out of court, yet a fair number have gone to litigation. This can be reversed through the efforts of brokers and owners who invest more time and effort putting together agreements and abiding by them. This is the best method of prevention.

Good luck to you,

Why consider offshore banking for your personal and financial privacy in this post 9 11 world

The point is, by moving assets offshore, you regain control. Within the United States, you must play according to federal rules — rules that get a little less citizen-oriented every year. Offshore, there are entire jurisdictions organized to play by your rules. You design the game, and you get to be the winner.

The forefathers of America did not foresee the 21st century post 9 /11. Today, the greatest threat to your individual privacy has nothing to do with property theft.

It has to do with access to information about you and your activities. Where you live and work, the names of your children, your medical and psychiatric history, your arrest record, the phone numbers you dial, the amount of money you earn, the way you earn it, and how you report it to Uncle Sam after if s yours — these are the information tidbits that will undoubtedly remain stored in lots of different places as long as you keep your money within U. S. borders.

An offshore financial involvement offers youand your family the one and only escape from this government-endorsed conspiracy. Just as you can legitimately make more money oversees than you could ever hope to earn in this country, you can also look forward to enjoying your foreign profits in an atmosphere of complete confidentiality. In money havens scattered from Hong Kong west to Aruba and south to the Netherlands Antilles, you can benefit from iron-clad secrecy laws that strictly forbid any bureaucratic review of your personal financial records. That means you can legally guard your assets from the overzealous inspection that has become part and parcel of U. S. banking and investment portfolio management.

Then, of course, there's the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS knows how much money you make, and where it comes from. The Social Security Administration probably knows more than you do about your employment earnings history. If you served in the armed forces, you're permanently listed in the archives of the Veterans Administration as well as your service branch.

Are you a borrower? If so, then at least one credit bureau (and probably several) keeps a file on you. Lenders nationwide can request from any one of these independent business operations a slew of information about your income, debts, employment history, marital status, tax liens, judgments, arrests and convictions.

Still another category of consumer investigation companies collect information about the health habits and lifestyles of likely employment and insurance applicants. How do these agencies get their information? Mainly from the friends, neighbors, employers, landlords and other casual professional associates of those they are investigating.

The law also demands that banks maintain records of any credit extension (other than a real estate mortgage) that exceeds $5,000. Banks must report all cash transactions, deposits or withdrawals, in excess of $10,000. They are required to ask you for your Social Security number or taxpayer identification number before any new checking or savings account can be opened. If you do not supply this number within 45 days of the request, your name, address, and account numbers are put on a list for inspection by the Treasury Department.

Even more to the point, you would wonder why any American with the economic option of moving offshore and into an atmosphere of utter financial privacy would chose to.

Better and there are plenty of foreign financial centers willing to make you an offer that's hard to refuse.

To ensure your own financial privacy, you must do two things. First, you must minimize the amount of information that gets created about you. Second, you need to verify and limit access to the information that already exists.

So, out of respect for the fact that you will probably want to keep some portion of your assets within the United States, take a minute and consider ways that you can protect yourself from unnecessary invasion of privacy. Just to get you thinking along the right track, here are some practical suggestions.

First, be aware that that not all domestic banks are alike. They all fall under U. S. banking regulations, but some are more privacy-oriented than others. For example, a number of financial institutions have recently started photographing and fingerprinting customers before completing even the most routine transactions. Don't do business with that kind of place! Instead, look for a bank that's willing to ensure the highest possible level of financial confidentiality.

A good way to identify the right institution is to ask for a written contract that sets down the ground rules for your professional relationship. Make sure your contract includes at least these two provisions: the bank must notify you whenever anyone asks to see your records; and you reserve the right to periodically see and correct any records the bank may keep on you.

A second rule of thumb is to conduct low-profile banking. Think about it. By reviewing nothing more than your monthly checking account statement, an investigating agent could learn a lot about you — where you shop, the restaurants you frequent, the names of friends and relatives, your religious and political affiliations, even the private clubs at which you have a membership. In essence, the account provides a panoramic view of your everyday lifestyle.

Again when it comes to investment, consider the benefits of working through a registered trade name. Brokerage firms accept corporate accounts, and these accounts are used by individuals as well as by large corporations. A professional corporation can trade under its own name, and if titled properly, will ensure the anonymity of the real owner. You should know that your privacy is maintained only at the trading level. Outsiders can still gain access if the brokerage firm chooses to reveal the true owner. To maintain financial and personal privacy in your correspondence, consider renting a post office box. This, together with a registered trade name, can do a lot to ensure at least a significant amount of confidentiality.

Finally, keep tabs on your credit records. There are about two thousand separate credit bureaus in this country, and they all carry data that could potentially be used against you. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, you can demand to know what is in your file. If you disagree with any of the information you find in it, you can insist that another investigation be done. If that second go-around doesn't resolve the matter, you can enter your own statement of explanation as a permanent part of the credit file.

Within the United States, it's possible to work like a dog, diligently and ferociously safeguarding the limited privacy that our legal system still allows. Frankly, the incredibly rich don't need to bother. They're already protected by sophisticated investment plans — usually they include offshore involvements. The very poor don't make much effort either. They're too busy making ends meet, and Uncle Sam isn't vigorous in pursuit of information about them. They don't have enough money to make it worth his while. Finally, of course, there are the very crooked. They don't spend time protecting a legal right to privacy because illegal activity keeps them pretty well-occupied and camouflaged.

By moving a portion of your money offshore, you can give yourself an immediate escape valve. You can stop chasing that elusive goal of onshore privacy, and in the process, you can walk away from the frustration and aggravation that are part of that quest.

You can find out what life is like on the other side of excessive government regulation and bureaucratic red tape. You can, for the first time in your life, discover what true financial freedom feels like.

Nevertheless, there are four basic privacy benefits that apply to almost every offshore venture and can be, implemented in virtually any foreign financial center.

History has also taught that discrimination can rise up and attack even the powerful within a society. At various times, in various places, Jews, Blacks, Asians, Protestants, Catholics and many others have been singled out for disdain. Unfortunately, governments are not immune to their own prejudice. Under federal authority, people around the world have had their property taken away. Sometimes they have also been imprisoned and even killed.

That's why smart investors living in politically and socially explosive countries often keep the bulk of their money offshore. Overriding (and rational) fears of government expropriation push them into a no-choice position. As Americans, we can be far less fearful. Nevertheless, there is growing concern about creeping federal authority over individual economic liberty. As a result, quiet transfers of money and assets have become common.

If the essence of financial privacy means limiting the information that is available about you, then it seems wise to act before the fact. Don't wait until a period of unrest brings you and your assets under federal scrutiny. By then, it will be too late. You won't be able to protect what you've got because Uncle Sam will probably decide to "protect" it for you.

If you have the proper government credentials and just $ 150, you can gather the following information and material on just about anyone: checks (both front and back copies), bank statements, signature cards, loan applications, deposit and withdrawal slips, and all bank communications. Even more to the point, you can get it without your suspect ever knowing about the probe.

Domestic banks typically release records in the event of civil litigation, court proceedings, and in some IRS audits. A private foreign bank, on the other hand, can protect you from any such invasion. By owning your own offshore bank, for instance, you ensure that all your financial decisions (and the papers that authorize them) are beyond the reach of domestic rules and regulations. Provided your dealings are structured as bank transactions rather than as individual or corporate ones, Uncle Sam has limited authority over the size or frequency of your transactions.

One of the most important privacy benefits you get from an offshore involvement is protection against overly aggressive competitors. Countless fights have taken place in U. S. courtrooms, many of them involving large sums of money and vengeful antagonists. The inclination to sue at the least provocation is on the verge of becoming an epidemic. And the likeliest targets are the people with the most money.

Let's say you become involved in a business situation that ultimately leads to a lawsuit. If you bank within the United States, a court may award your competitor legal access to any or all of your financial records. In the process, your privacy may be seriously jeopardized. If, however, your records are kept offshore, they are impervious to court orders.

Another important benefit involves the right to maintain a healthy distance between creative ideas and your competitors. For example, let's say you have a formula or patent that you want to protect. If you decide to copyright the idea here, you must disclose it to the Copyright Office, Immediately; your million-dollar concept becomes part of the public domain. Before you have time to establish a firm market, the idea can be reformulated with minor revisions and translated into your strongest competition.

Instead of going to the appropriate onshore office to file your formula, why not convert it into financial information? Call it "the exhibit to an agreement between a scientist and the formula's owner." If the formula's owner just happens to be an offshore entity, the exhibit is likely to be protected under the bank secrecy laws of the foreign jurisdiction.

Have you ever been the target of ugly gossip or intentional misinformation? It's sometimes based on nothing — just lies and innuendo. Other times, the story has a kernel (or more) of truth. And that's even more difficult to handle.

Most of us have a few skeletons in our closet. When it comes to financial privacy, however, those bones take on particularly ghoulish contour. Past mistakes — from car repossession to a personal bankruptcy, draft evasion, or a minor criminal record — can haunt you for a very long time. Credit bureaus maintain all their information for at least seven years; and often for even longer.

Financial privacy is a must. You will never have it within the domestic financial environment. Offshore centers, however, can guarantee that today is what matters. Yesterday is essentially irrelevant.

Offshore banking can help you regain control your personal and financial privacy.

It is an option in the post 9 /11 era that you should take seriously for yourself and your family’s financial and personal privacy.

Tea how do you drink white tea

Tea is the world’s most popular beverage, next to water. But, some people are still fairly new to tea drinking, and are still learning the popular varieties and deciding which ones are they like best.

One of the tea varieties that’s most popular today is white tea. White tea comes from the same plant as black and green teas, the camellia sinensis. What makes white tea different is when it is harvested and how it’s processed. White tea is harvested much earlier than other teas, before the leaves are fully open.

At this point in the growing process, the tea buds are still covered by fine white hair, which is why it’s referred to as white tea. Unlike other types of tea, both buds and leaves are used in white tea. White tea undergoes very little processing, and is not fermented.

The leaves are simply steamed (or occasionally fired) and then dried. Sometimes, tea harvesters will even steam the leaves right in the field, and then let them dry in the sun.

Fewer people are familiar with white tea in part because over the years there’s been far less white tea grown and processed than other teas. In fact, many years ago white tea was reserved for use at the highest tea ceremonies, and was considered tea for the elite.

Even today, less white tea is grown in the world than other types of tea. However, as it gains popularity, it’s likely that more of a tea garden’s harvest may be devoted to white tea. However, at least for now, white tea is rarer than black and green teas, and therefore more expensive.

White tea is a very healthy beverage. Because it undergoes very little processing, white tea retains its anti-oxidants. In fact, it’s estimated that white tea contains an even higher and more effective anti-oxidant level than green tea. There have been very few studies on white tea’s ability to prevent and help treat disease.

However, since white tea’s anti-oxidants are similar to those of green tea, about which much research exists to suggest health benefits, it’s assumed that white tea carries those same benefits. Green tea’s anti-oxidants have been shown to fight diseases like cancer, heart disease and high cholesterol. In addition, white tea has been shown to boost your immune system, improving your body’s ability to fight diseases, particularly infections.

So, What Does It Taste Like?

White tea is paler in color and has less aroma than black and green tea. Its flavor is light and slightly sweet. You won’t find a white tea with the bold flavors you can find in black and green teas. If brewed properly, it has no bitterness and no after taste. In addition, it lacks the grassy flavor that you often find in green tea.

How to Brew

You’ll brew white tea in much the same way as black or green tea. Use fresh, cold tap water, or filtered water. Put the water in a clean tea kettle and put it on the stove to heat. While the water is heating, put hot tap water into your teapot to warm it up. Bring the water to a boil and then remove it from the heat for sixty seconds.

White tea should be brewed with water that is somewhere between 170 and 185° F. By bringing the water to a boil and then letting it sit for one minute, you should ensure just the right temperature for white tea.

During this sixty second lull, remove the hot tap water from your teapot and add the white tea leaves. White tea is less dense and compact than black and green tea, so you’ll need to use more. Begin with two teaspoons per cup as a starting point, adjusting to your taste.

White tea should be steeped for about 5-8 minutes, depending upon your taste. It will be pale; don’t expect it to gain the color you’re used to seeing with black tea. Read the steeping directions carefully, white tea’s steeping recommendations can vary greatly. There are even some white teas that should be steeped for up to 15 minutes.

Because of its slightly sweet flavor, it’s recommended that you not sweeten white tea. In fact, tea connoisseurs suggest that white tea be consumed without any additives for best flavor. In addition to being delicious hot, white tea is also very good iced.

As you experiment with white tea, you’ll find varieties you particularly enjoy. Some will have a bit more of a flower flavor and some will be fuller bodied than others, though none will match the body of a black or green tea.

As you get to know white tea, buy just a little of a variety until you decide whether or not it’s right for you. Since white tea (particularly in loose form) is so expensive, it’s not wise to buy a large quantity until you know whether or not you’ll like it.

White tea is available today in bag form and ready to drink bottles, as well. However, nothing matches the flavor of brewing a cup of white tea at home from loose tea leaves and drinking it while it’s still steaming. Give white tea a try; you’re sure to love its sweet and refreshing flavor.

Digital photography backdrops

When the lights come down to the final draw what will your picture look like? Some people are gifted and can take a picture straight from a camera and deliver a quality shot. It would be nice if we all could do this, but it is not a reality. Nor is a reality that those fortunate people can do this each time they use a camera. What are we to do?

I say we all go bowling and take the rest of the night off, however you are probably waiting to get the brightness adjusted while shadowing and contrasting your photos. Ok, then, I am like Erkle in some ways on the bowling part, except he probably can do better than me. Therefore, let’s edit, since I do have a feel in this area.

Anyway, you snapped a photo that you hoped would come out looking like a winner. In the photo is your favorite pet, yet in the background the scene is dark. What are you to do? Crack open the image-manipulator program because you are going to need a few tools. Now that we have an underexposure shot situation, we want to turn this picture inside out and make it an exposure copy.

Most editing software’s or at least a lot of them will automatically adjust brightness and contrast by using filters. The downside is the computers can’t read a picture as you can read it, and will adjust the photo to its own liking, which is often not to your liking. Therefore, you want to get out your thinking cap, since you are going to manual adjust your own brightness, contrast and shadow if you like.

Assuming you are using Photo Deluxe imaging manipulators, we are going to check out the commands brightness and contrast. Once you select the commands, you will notice a dialogue box appearing in the window. The box should have sliders. With your mouse, click on the brightness slide and move it left or right, depending on what you are seeking to achieve. If you want less brightness, move the slider to the right. Do the same, dragging the slider to the left if you want a darker image. If you notice in the dialogue box, there is a little white box with numbers showing. You can use this box to select your own level of contrast or brightness if you know what you are doing. Likewise, to achieve contrast effect, move the slider either left or right.

Tip

You should highlight the area you want to contrast or brighten, since if you command brightness and contrast to adjust the entire pictures and some areas are dark while others are light, you will get an off tone shading. That is, the light areas depends if dark or light will either get darker or lighter.

Note: YOU can use the saturation command to adjusts overexposure colors if they appear flushed down.

One downside about Deluxe Photo programs is that it doesn’t give you the sophisticated commands that Photoshop offers. Still, you can do a lot with either program if you know your moves. It pays to learn the commands in all imaging-manipulating programs so that you have a feel of the table when the cards fall down.

You can use the Shadows Command to cast a shadow over the image. You are the only one looking at this image now, so it is up to you to adjust accordingly. You can play with each command, experimenting with the image as long as you saved an original copy and backed it up. This will give you the opportunity to learn your stuff.

How not to handle bad breath

We've all been there. You round the corner to your cubical ready to start the day's work when you are suddenly accosted by the familiar stench of a co-worker's bad breath.

"Here we go again...", you think. "Another 'H'-filled tirade that won't ever permeate my ears because I'm too busy trying to keep it from permeating my nose."

"So anywahhhhy," continues your co-worker, "Hhhhank Hhhhenshhhhaaw from Hhhhuman Reshhhhourcess told me ouhhhhhr 401k plahhhhn is an outstahhhhnding invehhhhhstment optiohhhhhn..."

Somehow, we'd like to think that our forced smile and wilting eyelashes might tell the offending party that there's something less than stellar about the way they are coming across. Unfortunately, that's simply wishful thinking. The problem is that no one knows they have a problem. We seem to be immune to our own stench, and unlike Willy Nelson's muse, it's never on our minds.

So how do you tell someone that their breathe is causing you to have a problem differentiating their head from their derriere? Sure, if it's someone you know and are comfortable with, you can try honesty. Still, even honesty has it's own set of problems. Do you play it off like it's a one-time occurrence you just noticed and hope that mentioning it takes care of the situation for good? Do you sit them down and have a serious discussion which could ultimately embarrass them or make you look like the bad person? How will they react to either scenario? You'd want to be told if you had bad breath, wouldn't you? Would you feel comfortable being told by this person that you have bad breath? Do you really know them well enough to be discussing this situation with them?

These are all important questions whose answers will vary with each unique situation. Still, there are some things you can avoid saying that are universal across all situations. I have taken the liberty of listing a few of them below. Remember, honesty is the best policy, but brutal honesty is often unnecessary.

# 1 Gee, is that your breath or did I blow my nose right after wiping my ass?

# 2 And now here's me with the weather: Thanks, me! Well it looks like there's a stank front moving due east from wherever your mouth happens to be. We're looking at a 100% chance of Halitosis throughout the rest of your life. Sports is next followed by today’s lottery numbers. Stay Tuned!

# 3 I don't mean to be rude but your horrible breath is melting my face. To have to stand here and listen to you is agonizingly painful. Hey, you ever see that "Alien" movie where the alien is breathing in Sigourney Weaver's face and she just cringes because the thing is so scary and because it's saliva is an acid that can eat through metal? This is a lot like that because even though your saliva won't eat through metal, I'm fairly certain your mouth-stench will and that is scaring the crap outta me, my friend. Again, I don't mean to be rude...

So you see, dear reader, one must choose carefully when approaching a subject this sensitive. Perhaps honesty is not always the best policy. Better yet, why not just leave an anonymous note...and a breath mint.

Consumers confused when it comes to buying critical illness insurance

Critical illness insurance is taken out to insure against the possibility of an individual being diagnosed with a critical illness sometime in the future. With advancements in medicine more people who are diagnosed with a critical illness are recovering from the illness but their finances could be stretched to the limit and life could be harder than it has to be.

The cover will pay out if you are diagnosed with any of the critical illnesses which are outlined in the policy, the actual illnesses will vary on the policy but common ones include being diagnosed with cancer, suffering a stroke, a heart attack or having to have an organ transplant. However consumers are sometimes getting confused when it comes to taking out critical illness insurance, and end up buying cover that does not give them adequate protection.

Some providers of the cover are selling a policy for huge premiums that gives very little protection and can have many exclusions in it that offers very poor value to the consumer. It is the small print in the policy which is causing the majority of problems with a policy; very little information is often given regarding them which mean that the consumer is buying cover that they do not understand.

While critical illness insurance when taken out with the small print in mind will payout a tax free lump sum on diagnosis of a critical illness, it was recently reported that around 25% of all claims made against a policy are rejected due to the exclusions. At a time when the individual needs financially security and peace of mind that they will be able to continue repaying their mortgage and essential outgoings many are being left with the added stress of finding they cannot claim.

It seems that many providers of the cover will do anything possible to squirm their way out of paying out on a claim, excuses such as drinking more alcohol than stated on the form and not reporting minor problems before being diagnosed have all been made. It is essential when taking out the cover that you know exactly what you are buying before you purchase and take care when filling in the forms associated with the cover so that you disclosed everything necessary relating to your health.

Just as with payment protection cover which is being investigated by the Financial Services Authority, critical illness cover has seen a rise in the amount of claims against firms selling inadequate critical illness insurance. Many of these claims were based on the fact that the provider failed to make the consumer aware of the exclusions and small print in a policy at the time of being sold the cover.

Critical illness cover can help you at as key time in your life you have read the key facts and small print of the policy and the best way to get the essential advice needed is to go with a specialist broker. The cover can be pushed alongside the loan or mortgage but this is the riskiest and most expensive way of buying the cover. A specialist broker can get you a good quality critical illness insurance policy while at the same time gathering the key facts so that you can determine if a policy would be suitable for your circumstances.

Common credit card terms

:
Whether you have a credit card or you are thinking of getting one, what ever is the type of credit card, there is a simple credit card jargon that you must be aware of.

Credit Cards: This is a card issued by a financial institution that allows the cardholder to use credit to purchase goods and services up to a predetermined limit. The cardholder gets a monthly statement and then he/she has to pay back. There is an interest on the amount credited.

Credit Limit: This is the maximum amount you are allowed to spend on the credit card. How much credit limit you get depends on you credit history and the type of credit card you own (gold or Platinum Cards).

Credit History or Credit Scoring: This is your track record of how you have paid accounts in the past. It is important from the creditor's point of view since it determines whether you are likely to pay accounts on time in the future or not.

Gold and Platinum Cards: These are credit cards issued to high-end earners. These have high or no credit limit. They come bundled with a number of services and benefits not available to a standard cardholder.

Annual Percentage Rate (APR): It is the annual interest rate or percentage you pay on the outstanding balance of credit as an interest or fee. It is also called annual interest rate.

Annual Fees: Annual fees is basically a maintenance fee that the credit card issuers charge from the cardholders annually against the costs incurred in maintaining accounts and providing services.

Introductory Period: Credit card market is highly competitive in UK so a number of credit card companies offer a low rate of interest on outstanding balances on your account for an initial period. This initial period is called introductory period, which can last for 6 to 12 months depending on the offer.

Balance Transfers: This is another term that has emerged out of the credit card market competition in UK. Say if you have an outstanding balance in your account on which you are paying interest but you find another market offer that makes your pocket breath easy then you can transfer your outstanding balance to a new account by paying certain percentage of balance transfer. Some credit card companies offer balance transfer as low as 0% in introductory period.

Reward Program: It is a point-accumulating program based on purchases or transactions made on your card. You can redeem your reward point against cash back, discounts or free air miles according to the program you enroll for.

PIN (Personal Identification Number): It is the secret code chosen by you for your card. You can access your money and perform banking transactions through the ATM or make purchases without signing a sales receipt at merchants that have PIN pads, using this code. Don't share your PIN with anyone.

Interior design magazine 04

Lets face it, not all of us have the money to hire an interior decorator every time we want to make some little change to our house. That is why there are interior design magazines out there. I love nothing better than sitting back with a nice interior design publication, reading it, and thinking about how all the ideas would get into my house. At first I was disappointed that I would never be able to hire an interior designer. I always thought that it would be nice to have someone professional come and look at my house and make the changes that they thought would do the most good. But after reading an interior design magazine or two, I realized how easy it was to make your dream home all by yourself. Oh sure you're bound to make a few mistakes, after all it is your first try at serious decorating, but all in all isn't it more fun to get the reward of doing your own work in making your own changes? I've always thought it was so much more noble to set out by yourself, armed with only an interior design magazine, some basic tools, and your own sense of vision, to make the perfect house.

And the interior design magazine that I got has so many good ideas. It is really amazing how many things there are out there that would work for just about any house. I never would've realized that on my own. It always seemed to me that every house required its own vision, but I guess that I was very wrong. My interior design magazine has shown me all kinds of things that apply just as well to my house as the house in the magazine. With the aid of an interior design magazine, I almost feel like a professional in my own home. And you wouldn't believe the number of complements but I get on the way my house looks nowadays. It is really an amazing feeling to be known for how nicely you have managed to decorate your house. Although I used to think that an interior decorator was the best way to go about redecorating home, now I couldn't even dream about the embarrassment of admitting having hired one. Reading an interior design magazine written by interior decorators, and then using the ideas that they had, makes me feel so much more enterprising.

Unique faberge eggs

Unique Faberge Eggs

Faberge Eggs have always been special to me. I’ve been searching them out at art auctions since I was in my early twenties. I did a term paper on the Faberge Company and their history of making eggs for the Russian Tsars between 1885 and 1917.

The first Faberge Egg that I ever found at an art auction was actually quite by chance. The Faberge Egg was not one of the advertised items and was actually a bottle topper. I instantly fell in love with it and took it home from the art auction for one hundred dollars.

I saw an advertisement for a tropical Faberge Egg from a collection St. Petersburg. It was set to be up for sale at an art auction in New York City. I knew that I was going to be unable to purchase it, but I wanted to see it in person and at least put in one of the lower bids.

The tropical Faberge Egg at that art auction in New York City ended up selling for over six thousand dollars. That is out of my price range, but I was happy just to have been in the same room with this masterpiece. The eggs themselves are just exciting to be near.

The first Faberge Egg was made in 1885. I know that it will never turn up in an art auction, but hopefully I will see it someday in an exhibit. The first one was commissioned by Tsar Alexander III and was given to his wife as an Easter present. The surprise inside the egg was a golden hen in a golden yolk. The hen was wearing a tiny crown with a ruby hanging inside.

The antique Russian Faberge Egg that I found at an art auction recently was so detailed. The silver enamel egg has rubies and eagles and is marked with Faberge hallmarks. I was able to win this egg because I was bidding with someone else’s money. The best eggs always end up with the richest people.

The piece that I want in my collection is a genuine Lillies of the Valley Faberge Egg. I found one at an art auction I went to ten years ago. I was unable to buy the one I saw, because I didn’t have the money at the time. I’ve been saving for the time that I see another one.

The Lillies of the Valley Faberge Egg is covered with pearls and pale pink enamel. The egg is on a stand that has legs of matte green-gold leaves with rose dewdrops. The gold-stemmed lilies of the valley have green enamelled leaves and pearl flowers. I will look for this egg at every art auction I ever attend.

This Faberge Egg is delightful. It is surmounted by an Imperial crown of rose crystals. There is a pearl knob that reveals the surprise of this egg. The surprise is portrait miniatures of Czar Nicholas II and his two oldest daughters. The portraits are framed in rose crystals and backed with gold panels. I have heard a rumor that one will be at an art auction next year in Miami.

The last art auction I attended I purchased a Faberge Egg called the Imperial Clover Egg. It was for my personal collection and I won it for under a thousand dollars. I felt like it was quite a steal at that price.

The Imperial Clover Faberge Egg was originally made with a four leaf clover inside of it that had portraits of the four daughters of Nicholas and Alexandra. The portraits went missing during the Russian Revolution. The egg that I bought at the art auction had a stem of clovers standing upright. Two clovers in green enamel and the third, a four leaf clover, was done in diamonds. The diamond four leaf clover is a pin that can be worn.

Professional software icons for your standalone application

User interfaces and accessibility are some of the most important aspect of an application. It can have a million features, it can do a thousand things once, but if it doesn't look quite right then it will be a disaster. Take Linux for example. This open source (free) operating system has been around for quite a while, and it has been very appreciated for its stability and speed. However, in its earlier days it lacked a user interface, which made it very unattractive to the general public. While a few years back Linux was used only by system administrator and computer freaks, Microsoft's Windows was all over the place, pumped up by its friendly user interface, even though it had a lot of bugs and was very unstable. Today's things are quite different. People have learned from their mistakes and now, most operating systems, including Linux, use a graphical interface and are very user-friendly - things that in the past you could do by writing lines and lines of instructions, you can now do with a few clicks. This major improvement has brought in a whole new class of users, and the popularity of this operating system has increased considerably.

This is why the user interface matters a lot to the average computer user, and icons are one of the most important issues at matter. But why use icons and not plain text? Well, icons are visual mnemonics, that is, they are easier to remember. We see an icon a few times (or maybe once) and we "learn" it, and afterwords we associate the image with a certain action. The same thing happens with text, but it's a lot faster to "read" an icon than it is to read a text, which makes icons a lot more recommended. Furthermore, adding icons to the important components of your application will sometimes save you from the frustration of answering the users who are not very familiar with the application and have trouble finding out how to use a certain feature. For example adding a question mark icon next inside the help button will make it easier for users to figure out where they can get help.

Today's developers know that users will learn how to use a certain application a lot faster if its interface looks like the applications they are already familiar with. Take for example a Mac: can you see how all applications look pretty much the same? So it's really easy to start using new applications, and you don't have to read the manual to see what each button does, because most likely you'll figure out that on your own. But there are two sides to this: if all applications look more or less the same, where is the uniqueness? Then again, if the application is totally unique, users might find it difficult to get acquainted with. So the best way to go is to use an interface that combines both these rules - not an "average" looking user interface, but also not a totally unique one. It's easy to get stuck with this idea, but this is where icons come in.

Icons are the easiest way to differentiate your application, while still keeping a note of familiarity. Most developers have found it very efficient to replace the operating system's stock icons with their own custom-made icons. How? Well, start with the little things. Try adding shadows to icons, or maybe apply different effects (emboss, blur, add a border, etc.) using a graphics editor. Another approach is to change the icon's colors. Make them all blue, yellow, or some other color you might think it would look great with the rest of the interface. A toolbar with enhanced, yet similar buttons (for example replacing the New, Open, Save, Print, Cut, Copy, Paste icons) really improves the overall interface. After replacing the icons, it's a lot easier to make the next step and start changing colors.

But what to do with these old-fashioned users that like to keep it simple? How about people with special needs, who might have problems reading small texts or seeing some colors. Also, there must be a way for all the people - and it's really a mystery here - who like the same old icons and colors on all their applications. Fortunately, the answer is simple: different application skins! It's a good idea to have a "standard" skin for the users who like to keep it simple, offering the basic features in a really easy to use manner, and then to create a few more enhanced skins for the people that like different interfaces - big fat buttons with shiny icons for the main applications features, or perhaps lots of toolbars with many buttons for advanced users. Again, the easiest way to creating new skins is changing the icons and colors. You don't really have to change the layout of the application and move all the toolbars/buttons/windows around, for it might require sometimes too much work. But replacing icons is really easy. Voila! You have a new skin!

Today's computer applications are focusing more and more on graphics, and especially icons, while text interfaces are becoming less popular. The modern applications' interfaces use icons and text as well, but paying a special attention to icons. This way it's a lot easier for users to learn how the application works, so therefore they will accomplish their tasks quickly. An intuitive interface and standard behaviors don't require much explanation, and a well-designed application must not get into the user's way, but must provide fast access to its most important features. This is the general rule which brought Microsoft millions and millions of dollars for it's main product - the Windows operating system - so why shouldn't we follow their example?

What makes a loan good value

Ultimately, when we decide to take out a loan, we want to try to ensure that the loan we agree to represents the best value.

Too often, many of us simply look at the APR as the determining factor and people have often been lured into the dangerous mindset of believing that if a lender’s APR is the lowest around, then it must offer good value but, sadly, that isn’t necessarily the case.

The APR rate can initially be a good guide to begin your research but there are many other important factors to also take into equal consideration. What about fluctuations in the Bank of England’s interest rate? If you have a loan with a variable APR and interest rates rise, then so, too, will the cost of your loan repayments over another loan which has a fixed rate of interest for the duration of the loan term, even if the latter had a lower APR when you were considering your choices.

What about additional or ‘hidden’ charges? Some loans may look very attractive and represent the best value but have you made sure you haven’t overlooked any additional costs you might incur? These can include payment protection insurance, arrangement fees and other charges such as an early resettlement fee.

Then there’s the APR itself. You might have seen a lender offering a loan with a ‘typical’ APR rate of 7.9%, for example. Sounds good on paper but do you definitely qualify for that rate? Around a third of all loan applicants with any given choice of lender will not qualify for the typical rate and so may end up paying far more than if they’d opted to take out a loan with a lender with a slightly higher APR but one which they did qualify for.

When trying to work out which loan represents the best value, the important thing to consider is to ask yourself all of the above questions and build up an accurate picture of the TOTAL amount you’d have to repay from the start date to the completion date of the loan. Only by tallying up all of these figures from each of the lenders can you truly determine which loan represents the best value.

Service offered by spam blockers

Wanting to use the Internet more than other people is not a sign of selfishness. It just shows how much you value the Internet, and also that you are more technologically inclined compared to other people. You love the Internet for all its wonders. The way you can surf to death, the way you can chat with other people from all over the globe, the way you can download your favorite media, and the list goes on and on. Is there anything about the Internet that you hate?

Yes, there is! You have forgotten about the fact that the Internet is filled with spammers. Spammers are those companies or individuals who have nothing left to do in the cyberworld but to make other people's lives miserable. They send junk mail to other people. And, in case you do not know yet, junk mail is a longer version for the term "spam".

Spam can sometimes get to your nerves. If only spam was a person, you would probably want, if not actually do, to strangle spam. But no, spam is not human, nor can it be touched. You have to fight spam by other means.

You can fight spam by using the SCBL, which is a shorter version, more like an acronym, of SpamCop Blocking List. By its name, "SpamCop", it must mean that it guards and protects, the usual things cops do, you from spam. It is powerful in fighting spam. If you use SpamCop to your advantage, you will, indeed, be successul in eliminating spam.

However, the SCBL has disadvantages. It is not a perfect innovation and therefore has its own defects. There is a big risk that as you block email from various spammers using the SCBL, the messages from those whom you want to get email from can also be blocked. It does not have a mind on its own, thus, it can't identify which messages are wanted and which are hated.

The SCBL is a blocking list of various IP addresses that have been reported to be sending spam to those who have installed SpamCop. It acts quickly due to the fact that it also enlists the websites that send reported mails like automated reports, SpamCop user submissions, and report sources.

You need not worry about having to use some of your time in delisting websites because the SCBL automatically does this for you. It automatically delists the aforementioned kind of mails.

After having read this article, you now have an idea concerning spam blocking. It is as easy as pie. You can avail of the service spam blockers offer you if you just take time in searching the right spam blocker that you think is appropriate for your system.

Crochet hat patterns

Learning To Crochet A Hat

Crocheting is one very popular hobby, creating economical, functional, fashionable and fun pieces to make. The crochet patterns of today are more inspiring and interesting than before, providing excitement when working with fibers and different colors. For all of these, enjoy learning and studying the wonderful art of “crocheting”.

Here are more reasons why you would want to learn crochet:

1. Most individuals who are into this hobby finds working with yarns of different textures and colors enjoyable.

2. Most say that this hobby is very calming.

3. One can make sweaters, hats, scarf and other accessories for oneself.

4. It is a social and fun activity to do with and family and friends.

5. One can take it along anywhere at anytime.

6. It maximizes one’s idle time.

7. It provides one with a sense of achievement when she completes a project.

8. It is an inexpensive hobby and one can make gifts out of the many thing one can create in crochet.

9. One can express oneself, invent designs and make patterns.

Starting your crochet hobby:

One could start crocheting with any type of yarn for knitting, making certain that the yarn and size of the hook are well matched.

To start, one needs to purchase some yarn and a needle, recommended size for beginners are H, G, or I size hooks as smaller hook sizes are much harder to handle.

Crochet hooks comes in different materials and sizes. Steel hooks for crochet are normally used with fine threads and doilies usually are available in sizes 00 up to 16, whereby the higher is the number, the smaller is the hook. The hooks for yarns are identified with letters starting from B up to Q, whereby B is the smallest and Q is the largest.

Purchase one dark colored and one lighter colored yarn so you can see your progress and “how you are doing” with the stitches; buy an ordinary yarn, preferably not wool or chenille as again, they are harder to work with.

When buying a yarn, test its strength by rubbing yard strands between your thumb and index finger. When it unravels a lot, never purchase it and test another one until you feel each type of yarn’s differences and the one that does not unravels are best.

Buy a yarn more than what the pattern asked for, as there is the possibility that you will run out of yarn and that particular type can not be ordered anymore, or is out of stock.

Here are crochet basics for making a hat:

You will need the following:

• “Worsted-weight yarn”, of any color or a combination of colors

• Crochet hook, size G

• Yarn needle having a big eye

• Small scissors

How to start:

1: With your right hand, hold the “crochet hook in” and then create a “slip knot on hook”.

2: Carry the yarn over with the hook starting from the back going to the front and then take it with the hook.

3: Draw the hooked yarn through with a “slip knot” and onto the hook, making this one “chain stitch”.

4. Repeat in sequence steps two and three for 28 times; take note that you must create “29 chain stitches” and a loop will stay on hook.

5. The “first chain stitch” should be skipped.

6. Insert the hook to the center of the next “chain stitch”. Draw the yarn past through the “chain stitch” and work up to the hook; this results in two “loops on hook”.

7. Bring the “yarn over hook” starting from the back to the front, and pull it through “both loops on hook”. Note that there should be one loop that remains or stays on the hook; this is now one “single crochet stitch”.

8. In every remaining twenty seven chains, repeat steps six and seven, making certain you “work in the very last chain”. Now you have completed one line of “single crochet”.

9. Measure your piece, as it must be approximately 7 inches wide. When it is overly wide, try once more with less beginning chains. When overly narrow, try once more with by adding beginning chains.

10. Create a single “chain stitch” at the tip of the line or row and turn your piece “counter-clockwise”, leaving the yarn “hook in the chain”. Now then you can start making another row, making stitches by working through the “stitches” of the preceding row.

11. Make a single “crochet stitch” in the first stitch and also in “each remaining stitch” of the preceding row. Be certain to work also “into the last stitch”; “chain 1, turn”.

12. Repeat step 10 until you can make a block that measures 9" long.

13. “Cut the yarn” from the ball (skein), leaving only 6 inches end and pull the hook directly upwards, inserting the yarn into the loop which remains “on the hook” then thread the “yarn needle” and interlace the stitches “back and forth” to secure it.

Here is a sample of a basic hat pattern:

Chain 4; join with a slip stitch in first chain to form a ring.

R1: Chain 2 (counts as “half double crochet”), 11 “half double crochet” in ring; join with a slip stitch in top of ch-2 – 12 stitches.

R2: Chain 2, “half double crochet” in same chain as joining, 2 “half double crochet” in each “half double crochet” around; join in top of chain2 – 24 stitches.

R3: Chain 2, “half double crochet” in same chain as joining, “half double crochet” in next half double crochet, * 2 “half double crochet” in the next “half double crochet”, half double crochet in next “half double crochet”; repeat from * around; join – 36 stitches.

R4: Chain 2, “half double crochet” in same chain as joining, “half double crochet” in the next 2 “half double crochet”, * 2 “half double crochet” in the next “half double crochet”, “half double crochet” in the next 2 “half double crochet”; repeat from * around; join – 48 stitches.

R5: Chain 2, “half double crochet” in each “half double crochet” around; join.

R6: Chain 2, “half double crochet” in same chain as joining, “half double crochet” in next 3 “half double crochet”, * 2 “half double crochet” in the next “half double crochet”, “half double crochet” in the next 3 “half double crochet”; rep from * around; join – 60 stitches.

R7: Chain 2, “half double crochets” in back loops only of each “half double crochet” around; join.

Rs 8-14: Repeat round 5.

“Brim-Round” 15: Chain 2, “half double crochet” in same chain as joining, “half double crochet” in next 2 “half double crochet”, * 2 “half double crochet” in the next “half double crochet”, “half double crochet” in the next 2 “half double crochet”; repeat from * around; join – 80 “half double crochet”. Rounds 16-20: Repeat Round 5. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Abbreviations: * = repeat whatever follows* (asterisk)..R=row

Why it s never been easier to sell your own home

Deciding to sell your home can be exhilarating, confusing, stressful and depressing all at about the same time. Selling it on your own you can double that anxiety unless you have a plan. Help ease some of those reactions by doing your homework before you make that life altering decision to move.

I have spent over 26 years in the real estate industry and for a great deal of that time I helped people sell their own homes commission free even though I was a realtor. Of course I was hoping they would fail and inevitably list their home with me on MLS. That’s the first thing to expect, agents will be calling with phantom buyers. Give yourself time to find them yourself.

Funny thing about real estate, it's the most expensive investment many people will ever make in a lifetime and everyone thinks they're an expert in the field because they own a home. This over confidence has humbled many potential for sale by owners.

Most people these days would like to at least try and save the high real estate fees associated with selling through a realtor. In fact nearly 25% of home sellers try to sell privately at least for a couple weeks. Only 5% eventually sell their own homes; a surprisingly pathetic number really.

It shouldn’t be this difficult and it really isn’t. Not today with the power of online marketing. Gaining exposure for your home has never been easier or less expensive. Why pay a realtor to market your home when you can do exactly what they do from your home PC. Of course realtors do more than market your home. They presumably pre-qualify prospects, show the listing to prospects, and advertise on the MLS to other agents and brokers. Not to mention putting the offer to purchase together and negotiating the outcome. WOW, that’s a lot of work and yet you can do ALL of this yourself and save thousands of dollars in the process.

You need professional counsel on the legalities of your sale from your lawyer. You also need to have your home looking top notch and staged so it appeals to the masses. You can find information online for excellent ideas on improving your homes appearance and you will net more profit from the sale as a result. Again after speaking to your lawyer and mortgage lender for legal and mortgage details, everything else can virtually be found on the Internet to make your sale easy.

Let’s talk about marketing your home and attracting buyers. These days you definitely need to have an online presence since most people start their search here. Depending on the value of your home and assuming you’ve set your price you’ll need to decide on who would be your target market. If you’re selling an average size, affordable family home than your prospect pool should be larger. This means local traffic from local advertising.

If you aren’t prepared to spend some money to sell privately you should go to a realtor straight away. You’ll need a professional sign made, advertising in the newspaper, some cosmetic home improvements (don’t go overboard) and you’ll need that online exposure that is so important.

There are plenty of websites out there that advertise homes privately but you want to make sure you are targeting local viewers to your online listing. Make sure that the website you list your home on has a local web portal for your area. This means buyers are more likely to find you’re listing in the search engines when someone enters Yourtown+homes+for+sale their search results will be targeted to your local market making it easier for them to find your listing. It’s even better if the website publisher takes the time to optimize your listing for the search engines.

The good real estate websites are the ones that make it easy for you to present your home to quality buyers, supply you with information to assist your sale and offer you the ability to maintain your listing yourself. What an advantage you’ll have if you can keep your listing looking new with fresh photo uploads and the ability to add or delete certain bits of information like price changes and open houses.

Plan carefully and when you think you are ready to move forward with your sale take another hard look at your plan of attack. There's always something else to consider. By preparing yourself and your home for the sale you’ll be surprised how easy it really is to sell it yourself.

Naturally sweet and healthy the wonders of stevia

Stevia (STEE-vee-uh) is an outstanding, sweet tasting herb that has remarkable health promoting qualities. The sweetness of Stevia is largely due to its complex stevioside molecule that is composed of glucose, sophorose and steviol. A second compound called rebaudioside, which is present in Stevia, also contributes to Stevia's sweetness. Stevia has a taste that is unique and has been described as very sweet with a slight licorice, almost bitter aftertaste. Generally, high quality Stevia contains very little of this bitterness. The sweetness of Stevia is much different than the sweetness of other natural sweeteners, sugar, or artificial sweeteners, but it is delicious. For some people the taste may require some "getting used to," but most people quickly develop a taste for it.

Stevia is a South American shrub whose leaves have been used for centuries by native peoples in Paraguay and Brazil to sweeten their yerba mate and other stimulant beverages. The stevia plant belongs to the Compositae (sunflower family of plants). Centuries ago, Natives of Paraguay used the leaves of this small, herbaceous, semi-bushy, perennial shrub to sweeten their bitter drinks. Originating in the South American wild, it could be found growing in semi-arid habitat ranging from grassland to scrub forest to mountain terrain. The plant made its way to Pacific Rim countries where in recent decades it became cultivated domestically, used in its raw leaf form and now is commercially processed into sweetener.

If you've ever tasted stevia, you know it's extremely sweet. In fact, this remarkable noncaloric herb, native to Paraguay, has been used as a sweetener and flavor enhancer for centuries. Stevia is a natural, non-caloric, sweet-tasting plant used around the world for its pleasant taste, as well as for its increasingly researched potential for inhibiting fat absorption and lowering blood pressure.

Stevia is about 300 times sweeter than sugar in its natural state, and much more so when processed. Its medicinal uses include regulating blood sugar, preventing hypertension, treatment of skin disorders, and prevention of tooth decay. Other studies show that it is a natural antibacterial and antiviral agent as well. Stevia is actually good for you! On top of that, it is calorie and carbohydrate free. Stevia is a great sweetener choice for diabetics, those watching their weight, and anyone interested in maintaining their health.

Topically, Stevia has excellent healing capabilities. If placed on a cut or scrape, it stings initially followed by a significant reduction in pain and accelerated healing with no scarring. Whole leaf Stevia extract can be used as a facial mask by smoothing the dark liquid over the entire face, allowing it to dry for 30-60 minutes, then rinsing. This will help tighten the skin, smooth out wrinkles and heal skin blemishes and acne. This has been reported to be effective when used on seborrhea, dermatitis and eczema, as well. Stevia is also beneficial for the hair and scalp; good results have been obtained by adding Stevia concentrate to shampoo, and also applying concentrate to the hair after shampooing, allowing it to remain on the hair for a few minutes, then rinsing.

Stevia is also able to perform a number of other beneficial tasks. For example, it has been shown that Stevia may enhance moods and increase energy levels and mental alertness. What's more, it is also been shown to stop the growth of bacteria in the mouth is responsible for the production of acids that are responsible for gingivitis and cavities.

In recent years, Stevia has made its way to the Far East. In the 70's and 80's Stevia was developed as a sweetener/flavour enhancer which has since been used widely for this purpose in Japan, China, Korea, Israel, Brazil and Paraguay. It has been embraced in Japan, where it's used in soy sauce, sweet pickles and soft drinks. In Japan, Diet Coke has been sweetened with Stevia.

The products in which Stevia has been used include soft drink, ice cream, cookies, pickles, chewing gum, tea and skin care products. In Japan about 40% of the sweetener market is stevia-based. The main producers of stevia are Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Korea, Brazil, Malaysia and Paraguay.

The cosmetic industry also employs the use of Stevia in many of the available skin care products. It has been shown to reduce skin blemishes when applied topically. Stevia also relieves stomach discomfort.

There are no symptoms of deficiency but everyone can benefit from the use of Stevia. Populations that may benefit from the use of Stevia include: diabetics, the obese, the elderly, children, and athletes.

Diabetics, individuals with blood sugar problems, or the obese, may benefit from supplementing with Stevia due to its ability to regulate blood sugar.

Individuals suffering from hypertension may also benefit from the use of Stevia. It has been shown that in cases of high blood pressure Stevia has the ability to act as a vasodiolator, thus helping to lower hypertension.

In the late 1980s an "anonymous firm" lodged a "trade complaint" with the FDA about Stevia when it started to surface in the United States. One company using stevia was the Celestial Seasonings herbal tea company. They were ordered by the FDA to stop producing tea "adulterated" with Stevia. Traditional Medicinals, another tea company, had their inventory of Stevia teas confiscated during an unexpected FDA raid and were told the tea would be burned.

Why did the government treat Stevia like a controlled substance? FDA documents call Stevia a "dangerous food additive" even though the safety of Stevia has been widely tested for many years by scientists in Japan. The FDA will not reveal who made the "trade complaint" (despite the Freedom of Information Act) though many suspect that it was the makers of the artificial sweetener Aspartame (aka "Nutrasweet") trying to fend off competition, as the artificial sweetener is very profitable.

To judge from the extensive measures the FDA has employed to keep Americans in the dark about Stevia, one might assume it was some type of dangerous narcotic. But, in fact, no ill effects have ever been attributed to it, although it has been used by millions of people around the world, in some locales for hundreds of years.

So adamant has the FDA remained on the subject, that even though Stevia can now be legally marketed as a dietary supplement under legislation enacted in 1994, any mention of its possible use as a sweetener or tea is still strictly prohibited.

In 1995 the FDA reversed their decision to ban Stevia, but only halfway. Stevia can now be sold as a "nutritional supplement" but not as a sweetener in the United States. This is also the case in the European Union, and the World Health Organization is pressuring other countries to follow suit.
